Campaigns & Elections

Campaign Advice: Remcho, Johansen & Purcell provides comprehensive advice and assistance to candidates and committees at the local, state, and federal levels. Our staff has extensive experience working with the complex laws governing candidates, officeholders, PACs, ballot measure committees and major donors. Our services include:

  • Advice and assistance in understanding the complex rules and regulations that govern campaigns and elections.

  • Litigation regarding all facets of a campaign, including litigation involving ballot pamphlets, candidate qualifications, and campaign finance.

  • Advice and assistance with audits. All candidates and committees are subject to routine audits under state and local campaign laws. Our staff has extensive experience in assisting candidates and committees in preparing for and complying with the demands of these audits, as well as identifying potential problem areas and taking remedial action prior to the beginning of a scheduled audit.

Litigation: Remcho, Johansen & Purcell's litigation experience ranges from challenging campaign finance schemes to representing individual candidates and committees in election-related disputes, from challenges to voting systems to post-election recounts.
